Air Export Clerk

One of the largest privately-owned logistics and global supply chain management groups in the UK and Europe, with specialised divisions for Freight Forwarding, Logistics and Supply Chain, are looking to recruit an Air Export Clerk, to be based in offices in the Heathrow Area.
Working Hours:
9am - 6pm, Monday to Friday.
There will also be a responsibility to be part of the Export on call rota - 1 in 8 weeks, which could include weekend coverage.
Main Purpose of the Role:
Handling air export freight forwarding operations, and occasionally road freight operations, which would involve completing jobs from start to finish.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Handle air freight export operations from start to finish
* Provide a high level of customer service to clients
* Work within company guidelines at all times
* Communicating effectively with colleagues, as part of a team
* Keeping up to date with legislation affecting the export of goods by air
* Handling Road freight operations, on an ad-hoc basis.
To Be Considered:
* Proven experience in air export freight forwarding operations, or working as an Air Export Clerk
* Working experience with Boxtop or Sequioa is desirable.
* Ability to work well under pressure, and stick to deadlines
* Excellent communication skills
