What you will do
An apprenticeship with us will see you building new skills, while applying your knowledge to real-world live projects. There will be plenty of opportunities to explore your potential and you'll enjoy full support from your line manager and a mentor. We are offering a full-time permanent Advanced Level 3 Apprenticeship Programme for talented people. This is a genuine alternative to university for people who have a passion for engineering and who want to launch their career with us. The apprenticeship will combine on-the-job work experience, with time at college to achieve a BTEC Diploma in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
How you will do it
You will learn how to design, commission & execute highly technical building management control solutions for Heating, Ventilating & Air Conditioning system (HVAC). Gain knowledge and be proficient in Johnson Controls manufactured products and software. Understand complex Mechanical & Electrical systems, be able to analyse relevant technical documents and from a static state commission the controls system and designated plant interfaces bringing the control system and plant to full operation such that it performs according to the project specifications. Further opportunities await as experience is gained in being able to diagnose, solve technical problems in both software & hardware, advice to customers on energy efficiencies utilising Johnson Controls energy management software.
What we look for
Leaving Certificate (or equivalent) at Grade O4 minimum - in Math, English, Science and IT/CDT or equivalent
Ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience
Competent computer skills
Good customer focus
Skilled in technical problem solving
Be self-motivating, able to work alone or part of a team
Flexible attitude to working hours
Proactive approach to on-going learning
