Polish speaking Paralegal
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Handling claims from acceptance to settlement within the MOJ Portal, and out of the Portal, in line with company best practice.
* Being fluent in Polish is essential.
*Key Tasks: *
* Progressing your caseload in a manner to ensure that clients receive appropriate, professional, timely and pertinent legal advice, with regular contact, whilst managing their expectations.
* Handling incoming calls from clients, third parties and other Agencies.
* Deal with client instructions efficiently, taking responsibility for processing each enquiry through to a satisfactory conclusion
* Obtaining and verifying client information
* To identify early those cases where proceedings would be tactically beneficial to litigate and to do so expeditiously.
* Identify cases that have an element of serious injury and escalate the cases and remove form the Portal. You will be supervised and supported by a recognised solicitor within the team.
* Instructing Medical Agencies and Engineers and liaising with third parties.
* Undertaking other duties reasonably required by partners or senior management.
*Person Specification: *
*Essential Skills: *
* Fluent in Polish and English.
* Minimum of 1 years' experience in a similar role.
* A good understanding of the MOJ process.
* Knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules.
* Have proven IT skills and ability to adapt new technology.
* Able to demonstrate strong administrative and organisational skills.
* Excellent communication skills including oral and written presentation skills.
* The ability to provide a high level of client care.
*Desirable Skills: *
* Preferably claimant orientated.
* Proficient with Proclaim Case Management, although training will be provided.
* Experience of Infant Approval Hearings and Stage 3 hearings.
*Personal Attributes: *
* Self-motivation to work independently and as part of a team with a 'can do' attitude.
* Good interpersonal skills.
* A positive approach to working under pressure in a busy environment.
* Methodical approach to tasks and problem solving.
