An amazing opportunity has become available for a Process Technician based in the heart of the Northumberland area.
The successful candidate will be part of a team of engineers, providing maintenance and operational support.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Multiskilled Process Technician can be Mechanically, Electrically or Instrumentation biased. The Process Technician role will operate under the Operations guidance. Will be responsible for front line breakdowns in a fast moving state of the art automated paint manufacturing facility. Will also support operations in the smooth running of the plant and also involved in continuous improvement methodologies to ensure line capacity is improved and maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
* Actively participates in HSE&S, Sustainability and Quality activities, including the use of point of work risk assessment.
* Ensure safe systems of work are in place for both planned and reactive activities, including isolation of energy sources and the issue of PTW.
* Assist operations in the day to day running of the lines reacting and resolving line issues.
* Liassing with dayshift engineers with production / plant improvements.
* Assist in Maintenance and Fault Diagnosis of Mechanical / Electrical systems for the site.
* Performs fault diagnosis and corrective maintenance.
* Ensures the company's assets are cared for according to Company Asset Integrity Guidelines (AIGs).
* Builds and maintains accurate records in SAP PM
* Coaches and supports process operators in their defined autonomous maintenance tasks to be carried out to maximise plant and equipment effectiveness to achieve optimum life cycle cost of production equipment.
* Ensures site meets all Operational targets with involvement into action plans in place to ensure sustainability of metric performance.
* Assist in training other technicians and operational staff in maintenance and troubleshooting of all site equipment
* Ensures all statutory guidelines are met.
* Ensures formal systematic problem solving methodology is established and fully engrained in the organisation on a routine basis.
* Ensures Equipment Improvement Teams (EITs) are common to all areas/lines within the operation with operator representation on all teams.
* Liaises with and manages contractors and vendors.
* Actively particpate in Continuous Improvement projects.
* Ability to identify improvement opportunities to improve and drive plant OEE and rate increases.
