Anderson Knight is working in partnership with a key client who is seeking to add an experienced Category Manager to their Corporate Team. This position offers you the opportunity to work with a truly recognised forward thinking brand.
Reporting to the Senior Category Manager, the key duties and responsibilities for this role will include:
* Develop a Group Strategy and value proposition which will transform the relevant indirect categories for my client
* Drive and develop specific category insights and market intelligence for the initiatives that you lead, driving both efficiency and effectiveness
* Develop strong relationships across group by identifying and influencing key stakeholders and proactively building strategic relationships with critical suppliers to drive innovation and maximise savings opportunities
* Lead strategic, regulated sourcing projects, including strategy development, supplier negotiation, award recommendations, business case presentations and supplier contract execution
The ideal candidate will possess the following key skills:
* Proven track record in driving forward and owning a category to maximise savings
* Multi-Site Stakeholder experience
* Demonstrated ability to manage the successful creation and execution of a category strategy
* Experience of working within Fleet/Plant or a fast-paced manufacturing/engineering business
* Proven track record in challenging the norm, driving transformational change and developing innovative solutions
