Are you looking for extra hours? Do you enjoy cleaning and working in a safe and hygienic kitchen? Can you multi-task in a fast-paced environment? Do you like providing excellent support to your colleagues?
We are entering our busy Summer season in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and are looking for a flexible Kitchen Porter to offer casual support to cover absence, annual leave and peak periods within our Rooftop Restaurant. You will help to clean the kitchens and provide a safe and hygienic environment for the chefs to operate in. You will assist in the efficient running of the kitchens that serve our iconic Rooftop Restaurant, which is situated on the third floor of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. The Rooftop Restaurant offers delicious food in relaxed and stylish surroundings, with some of the best views of Stratford-upon-Avon.
This role reports to the Executive Head Chef and duties will include:
- Handwashing of pots, pans and utensils
- Using the dishwasher
- Cleaning equipment
- Basic vegetable preparation
- Organising the fridge, freezer and dry store spaces
- Supporting chefs with daily tasks
- Sorting deliveries
This is a casual hours position, which means you will only be required to provide shift cover for absence and annual leave on week days, weekends and evenings. If you have a positive attitude, can work flexibly and love the idea of a fast-paced role, this could be perfect for you.
