Are you looking for extra hours? Do you have a good understanding of excellent customer service? Do you have a passion for food and drink? Can you assist and support with the delivery of hospitality and events?

As we prepare to open our busy Spring season in the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, we are looking for flexible Catering Assistants to offer casual support to cover absence, annual leave and peak periods. You will assist in the efficient running of our Cafes, Bars, Green Room and our iconic Rooftop Restaurant situated on the third floor of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. The Rooftop Restaurant offers delicious food in relaxed and stylish surroundings, with some of the best views of Stratford-upon-Avon.

Reporting to our Catering Manager, you will deliver excellent customer service to ensure guests have a memorable and enjoyable dining experience. You will tailor your approach to each customer, exciting them with our latest food menu and beverage offerings as well as handling cash and billing services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Greeting and welcoming customers to our bars, cafes and Rooftop Restaurant
  • Taking food and drink orders
  • Knowing all of the food and drinks on the menu and how to serve them - you can take a look at our menus here
  • Working in a clean and safe manner
  • Helping with deliveries of stock and consumables
  • Taking payments from customers

You can expect to be super busy, mainly before shows in the evenings and at the weekend. If you have previous waiting experience, a positive attitude and love the idea of a fast-paced role, this could be perfect for you.
