A global company in central Newcastle are looking for a Service Desk Analyst to join their Technical Support team in a time of great growth and technical innovation. This company have a variety of projects they are working on across 2022 and need a Service Desk Analyst to support the internal teams.

Reporting to the Service Desk Team Leader/Manager, this is a highly customer focused and visible role requiring excellent first line and application support skills. You will be troubleshooting IT related problems in relation to software, hardware and access rights alongside being a single point of contact for staff regarding IT queries.

Responsibilities include:

  • Act as a single point of contact for phone calls and emails from staff regarding IT issues and queries
  • Receiving, logging and managing calls from internal staff via telephone and email
  • 1st line support - troubleshooting IT related problems in relation to software, hardware, access rights and mobile working solutions
  • Take ownership of customer problems

Essential Skills and Experience Required

  • Experience of working as either 1st or 2nd line in a busy professional services environment
  • Technical skills: Windows Server, Microsoft Products, Office 365, Active Directory.
  • Experience working in a proactive way in a fast-paced environment
  • Process driven, with the ability to focus on the end result/be a completer, finisher.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • ITIL qualifications are desired but not essential
