Print Room Operative FULL TIME

A leading fresh food supplier is seeking enthusiastic Print Room Operatives to join a busy team located near Stevenage in Hertfordshire.

This is a refrigerated warehouse, temperature is 12 degrees.

The Role

To design label templates, set up printers, print and check labels to the product specification as required for sleeve and production labelling. To oversee the day to day running of the Printroom ensuring all duties are carried out correctly and efficiently whilst complying with the companies labelling procedures and policies. To ensure targets are met in a safe and efficient manner, whilst continuously improving systems, performance and operations.

Responsibilities

Product Quality

To ensure all labels are printed in line with the current product specification including; print quality, readable barcode (scans), correct text and size.
To ensure labels are positioned on sleeves in line with the current product specification.
To ensure all products are stored correctly during productive/non-productive timesRework

Minimise the level of rework through a Right First Time approach.
Any over pack sleeves should be de-labelled and re-worked in the agreed time span
Rework generated through printing errors to be fully investigated and fed back to the management teamAdministration

To follow the label check procedure, ensuring correct label issues to production.
To ensure you and other staff are wearing the correct work wear.
To follow, enforce and train all Standard operating procedures (SOP's)/Safe Systems of Work (SSOW).
To complete all paperwork, clearly and accurately.
Change design of print when required
Archive all documentation using the scanning system
Complete pre-start checksPay Rates

GBP9.49 per hour plus GBP1.15 per hour holiday pay (TOTAL GBP10.64per Hour or GBP127 per 12 hour shift )
Holiday pay is built up and is paid when holiday is taken.
Additional 50p per hour night rate premium for hours worked between 11pm and 4am.
Overtime rates available after 40 hoursShift Patterns

12 hour shifts - 7 to 7
AM & PM shifts available
Sunday to Wednesday and Wednesday to SaturdayRequirements
