The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Senior HR Generalist to support the HR Function in line with key business objectives, helping to make the HR Department a highly cost-effective, valued and well-regarded resource for managers and employees.

This role reports to the HR Manager and has day to day supervision of the HR Assistant. This role would be ideal for you if you have previous experience in an HR role, ideally CIPD qualified (or willing to work towards this) and have a sound up to date knowledge of employment legislation.

You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

What you will be doing:

Provide excellent HR advice to Managers and Employees on a range of employment and employee relations matters. Provide timely support during investigation and disciplinary processes and recommend appropriate action, participating in disciplinary hearings where necessary.
Support managers with the performance review process, including identifying and developing promotable talent.
Prepare and analyse HR Management Information to gain greater insight into trends which support continuous improvement in the management and monitoring of sickness absence, performance, retention etc.
Pro-actively provide recommendations to line managers to address issues.
Carry out the end-to-end payroll process in conjunction with the HR Manager.
Assist with the preparation of data for the profit share scheme and annual pay review.
Support the creation and reconciliation of the budgeting process.
Continuously develop the HR Systems including the Applicant Tracking System, Learning Management Software, and Time and Attendance system to provide a more efficient employee experience.
Drive the Learning and Development agenda by implementing innovative ideas to support engagement.

Other general duties/ requirements:

Management of the HR Assistant offering guidance and support when required.
Actively participate in the development of HR policies and processes.
Deputise for the HR Manager when required.
Demonstrable interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with key stakeholders;
Proven generalist HR experience at Senior Advisor level
Understanding and practical application of UK Employment law;
Ability to work independently to lead projects and implement new initiatives;
Proven ability to navigate and manage employee relations issues;
Advanced level Microsoft skills in Excel and Word;
Ability to adapt quickly to new software and how they interact with our processes;
CIPD Qualified or equivalent experience;
Bachelors' degree or equivalent;
Ability to keep sensitive information confidential and secure.
