Founded in 2013 by experienced researchers, Tapestry stands out from the crowd. As market researchers, we find out what consumers think as well as understanding the reasons behind it. Our study design takes a broad perspective, understanding both consumers and media, whilst our output takes the form of compelling reports and attractive infographics using sophisticated models and market simulators.

The Junior Data Analyst role will provide key support and analysis to this forward-thinking market research company. This role is suitable for a recent graduate (or equivalent experience) who shows a strong ability in the application of statistics, data science or mathematics along with a good level of skill with programming and/or data analysis packages (e.g. R, Python, SPSS etc.).

While much of the work will be with survey data, the ideal candidate will be keen to work with a wider array data type – from both structured and unstructured sources. You will be able to quickly get to grips with creating, cleaning and collating data, providing guidance and input that helps ensure accuracy, clarity and simplicity for other members of the team and of data included in Tapestry’s client reports. There is plenty of scope to use – and/or learn – and apply advanced statistical techniques to spot patterns and bring insight to data.

Qualified to degree level (ideally heavy in Maths / Statistics) or with equivalent experience that demonstrates a strong understanding of computing, data science or quantitative research components, you will have a high level of IT literacy and numeracy, a strong eye for detail and a quick and efficient attitude to work.

You will be energised by the idea of using your knowledge to creatively tackle thorny and complex problems, applying statistics in novel ways to get the most insight from available data.

In addition, you will be a strong communicator with the ability to explain and share your thinking as you build surveys, analyses and data reporting. You will be able to communicate complex mathematical concepts to both expert and non-expert audiences alike.

Closing Date: TBC

Sharing our company values, you will be self-motivated and someone who takes their own development seriously. The role will develop over time and so will the opportunities open to you.

You will grow to be a trusted representative of the Tapestry brand. This will involve support and input into core aspects of research studies, ensuring they are executed to the highest standards, while learning and developing your own skills.

You will be part of the Tapestry team and benefit from everything we offer. This includes our pension scheme, the company bonus structure and subsidised gym membership. You’ll be working with the entire team, including the joint managing directors, and have the chance to learn from some of the most experienced people in the business.

This role will be based at our offices in Farringdon, however there will be an opportunity to work from home also and we’re open to supporting flexible working hours!

Tapestry is an equal opportunity employer. All applicants will be treated in a fair and equal manner and in accordance with the law regardless of gender, marital status, race, religion, colour, age, disability or sexual orientation.
