Our Client in Bradley Stoke is currently recruiting for a Document Editor to carry out the following:
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare new data from Word, Excel or Adobe software for production by clearing old formatting.
* Use software to structure new data ready for html output.
* Amend existing documents within the data structure.
* Use Acrobat, Illustrator and Photoshop or similar software to amend and update graphical elements of manuals.
* Plan and organise time effectively in the context of individual tasks.
* Communicate activity through use of the task system, Teams and other communication tools.
* Ensure current work is checked in to allow others to continue working on latest versions.
* Using email and telephone to communicate with clients to achieve best resolution of queries.
* Report important customer communications to the Team Manager and Customer Support to ensure that data is collated for use and made available to all team members.
* Take responsibility for quality control in the context of checking own work and that of others.
* Participate in tasks designed to improve processes and systems used within the company.
* Be aware of opportunities within the company in order to take responsibility for self-development.
Technical Skills
Essential
* Must have proven sound computer competency.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
Desirable
* Familiarity with Adobe products, Gimp, Inkscape or IsoDraw or similar software
* Security level clearance useful but not essential
* A background in document control.
