Commercial Assistant
Elvet Recruitment have been appointed to recruit for a Commercial Assistant to join a housing business in Cumbria.
This is a full-time temporary position lasting a minimum of 3 months.
Responsibilities
* Assisting the regional Quantity Surveyors to ensuring that all sub-contractor accounts are maintained and up to date
* Liaising with the Finance Department to ensure that sub-contractor payment procedures are adhered to at all times and that all agreed terms are met
* Assist the Finance Department with the efficient operation of sub-contractor preferential payment terms
* Placing of Coins orders following instruction from the regional Quantity Surveyors
* Preparation and issue of Coins sub-contractor order matrices in line with order instructions from the Regional Surveyors
* Resolution of all invoices, to include communication with other staff and external sub-contractors as required
* Requesting, chasing and maintaining sub-contractor pre-qualification information
* Produce notification and intention to withhold payment letters as directed by the Regional Quantity Surveyors
* Any other duties as may be appropriate to support the Commercial Department
Experience / Skills
* Strong organisational and administrative skills
* Ability to work alone, but also as part of a team
* Excellent IT skills, especially Excel
* Knowledge of house building industry would be an advantage
* Knowledge of Coins system
* Experience of working within a busy office environment
