Citizens Advice

Trustees

Location: National

Unremunerated

We’re looking for three passionate new trustees to help make our mission a reality.

These are unique roles, with the opportunity and privilege to support change across England and Wales, helping to provide the advice people need for the problems they face and improve the policies and practices that affect people's lives.

We can all face problems that seem complicated or intimidating. At Citizens Advice we believe no one should have to face these problems without good quality, independent advice.

That’s why we’re here: to give people the knowledge and the confidence they need to find their way forward - whoever they are, and whatever their problem.

We are looking for new Trustees to join a team who are collectively responsible for the overall management, governance and strategic direction of the national charity, and for developing the organisation’s aims, objectives and goals in accordance with governing documents, legal and regulatory guidelines.

You should have a proven record of achievement in your own field, operating at a strategic level, confronting challenges and driving through initiatives – we particularly welcome applications from individuals with a background in people or human resources, equity, diversity and inclusion and finance and pensions.

It is essential that our trustees are inspired by our mission that as a whole service we in turn serve the wider society. The ability to devote sufficient time and actively contribute is also key to fulfilling the role. Trustees must be independent, maintain their independence and tell the Board if they feel beholden to any interest. They are expected to always demonstrate high standards of probity and to ensure that Citizens Advice operates responsibly and ethically, in line with its own values and those of the wider voluntary sector.

Trustees are expected to contribute between 10-14 days per year, including ad hoc activities and advice, often by email or in online meetings.

If you possess the skills, experience and qualities, please visit our dedicated microsite for more information by clicking Apply.

Cyngor ar Bopeth

Ymddiriedolwyr

Lleoliad: Cenedlaethol

Di-dâl

Rydym yn chwilio am dri ymddiriedolwr brwdfrydig i helpu i wireddu ein cenhadaeth.

Mae'r rhain yn rolau unigryw, gyda'r cyfle a'r fraint i gefnogi newid ledled Cymru a Lloegr, gan helpu i ddarparu'r cyngor sydd ei angen ar bobl ar gyfer y problemau maen nhw’n eu hwynebu a gwella'r polisïau a'r arferion sy'n effeithio ar fywydau pobl.

Gall pob un ohonom wynebu problemau sy'n ymddangos yn gymhleth neu'n fygythiol. Yn Cyngor ar Bopeth, credwn na ddylai neb orfod wynebu’r problemau hyn heb gyngor annibynnol o ansawdd da.

Dyna pam rydyn ni yma: i roi’r wybodaeth a’r hyder sydd eu hangen ar bobl i ganfod eu ffordd ymlaen – pwy bynnag ydyn nhw, a beth bynnag fo’u problem.

Rydym yn chwilio am Ymddiriedolwyr newydd i ymuno â thîm sy’n gyfrifol ar y cyd am reolaeth, llywodraethiant a chyfeiriad strategol cyffredinol yr elusen genedlaethol, ac am ddatblygu nodau ac amcanion y sefydliad yn unol â dogfennau llywodraethu a chanllawiau cyfreithiol a rheoleiddiol.

Dylai fod gennych hanes profedig o gyflawni yn eich maes eich hunan, gan weithredu ar lefel strategol, wynebu heriau a chyflwyno mentrau – rydym yn croesawu'n arbennig geisiadau gan unigolion sydd â chefndir mewn pobl neu adnoddau dynol, tegwch, amrywiaeth a chynhwysiant a chyllid a phensiynau.

Mae’n hanfodol bod ein hymddiriedolwyr yn cael eu hysbrydoli gan ein cenhadaeth ein bod fel gwasanaeth cyfan yn gwasanaethu’r gymdeithas ehangach. Mae'r gallu i neilltuo digon o amser a chyfrannu'n weithgar hefyd yn allweddol i gyflawni'r rôl. Rhaid i ymddiriedolwyr fod yn annibynnol, aros yn annibynnol a rhoi gwybod i’r Bwrdd os ydynt yn teimlo bod ganddynt unrhyw fuddiant.

Disgwylir iddynt ddangos safonau uchel o onestrwydd bob amser a sicrhau bod Cyngor ar Bopeth yn gweithredu’n gyfrifol ac yn foesegol, yn unol â’i werthoedd ei hunan a gwerthoedd y sector gwirfoddol ehangach.

Disgwylir i Ymddiriedolwyr gyfrannu rhwng 10 ac 14 diwrnod y flwyddyn, gan gynnwys

gweithgareddau ad hoc a chyngor, yn aml drwy e-bost neu mewn cyfarfodydd ar-lein.

Os oes gennych chi'r sgiliau, y profiad a’r rhinweddau, ewch i'n meicrowefan bwrpasol i gael rhagor o wybodaeth – www.citizensadvice-appointments.com
