Teaching Assistant Apprentice - Key stage 2 Class, GBP4.81 an hour, Full time, Yanwath near Penrith
We are looking for someone who is keen to work for a small rural Primary School on the outskirts of Penrith who is looking to qualify as a Teaching Assistant. We are offering a fantastic apprenticeship opportunity for someone who is keen to commit to the Level 3 TA qualification. Vacancy Details
This is an exciting and varied job where you will work across age groups in Key stage 2. You will be in with a class teacher to provide support to children and will get involved with delivering small group intervention work as well as supporting the whole class alongside the teacher.
With this route you will really get the opportunity from day one to work with the children in your care to develop their reading skills, increase their confidence with writing and group activities. You will receive National apprenticeship wage of GBP4.30 an hour Monday to Friday. The apprenticeship is expected to last a min of 18 Months in duration and will ideally begin after the May half term 2022. You will learn with System People a friendly and local training provider here in Carlisle. We offer a range of learning support methods which include virtual Zoom lesson delivery, face to face workshops, online interactive learning platform and 1-2-1 tutor support.
Qualifications Required
As you will be studying for an Advanced Level 3 Apprenticeship which is equivalent to A Level, you will be expected to hold a grade 4/C or above in Maths and English by the end of the Apprenticeship. Therefore to apply you must hold a Grade C/4 in either Maths or English and at least a D in the other. We can provide Functional Skills help during your apprenticeship to help you gain a grade 3 in both by the end (subject to initial assessment).
