Gardening Assistant - Commercial and Wholesale

We require an additional Gardening Assistant to start asap to join our busy wholesale team on an ongoing basis through our busy Spring and Summer period with the possibility of a permanent role should this be of interest. Working Mon to Fri 8am to 4.30pm with free parking. We are a leading commercial horticultural supplier to the trade and as such operate from our large scale and professional site in Chobham. This role would suit candidates with an interest in gardening or previous landscaping or gardening experience who enjoy working outdoors in a busy and hands on role or you may be a student returning for the Summer holiday or simply be in between jobs and happy to work in a gardening based role whilst seeking the right permanent role. You will be assisting across the site, working as part of a friendly team for a professional commercial garden nursery.

The role of Gardening Assistant will involve:

Initially assisting with the weeding of the outdoor commercial garden areas and general tidying up of the site ready for our new season of plants.
In addition, you will also be assisting with the following:-

• Unloading plants, bulbs and stock.
• General garden duties including weeding, planting, potting out, plant maintenance and watering.
• Collecting, trimming and bagging up plants ready for despatch to client sites as we supply garden shows, garden centres, stately homes and private garden displays.
• Distributing stock around the site via hand held trolleys or the small tractor.
