We are seeking an Energy and Sustainability Manager to be responsible for developing and implementing energy and sustainability strategies as well as helping drive sustainability.
In this newly created role of Energy and Sustainability Manager, we are looking for an individual to be involved in current projects including looking at fitting solar panels across the company site, then cover the business as a whole and look at the impact of energy used.
As the Energy and Sustainability Manager you will be responsible for developing and implementing energy and sustainability strategy as well as helping drive sustainability throughout the full business. You will work closely with the operations team, providing them with energy and sustainability services to help them reach their energy and sustainability targets.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about sustainability, should have a solid understanding of how farming works, excellent data analytical skills and a qualification in an energy management / sustainability related subject. You'll also be comfortable sharing and presenting your ideas both internally and to key customers.
Key responsibilities:
Project managing sustainability initiatives and producing monthly and annual reports on financial savings, social and environmental benefits.
Provide and receive information of complex nature relating to energy management, carbon reduction, sustainability and governance matters, completing benchmarking when needed.
Support the continuing development and implementation of appropriate sustainability policies and governance.
Bring leading-edge thinking, market trends and creative solutions to the sustainability and social value strategy to ensure continuous improvement performance.
Be the knowledge expert, advocate and leading voice for the sustainability and social value strategy internally and externally.
Ensure all compliance activities (reporting and learning) are designed, developed and delivered to meet standards and where appropriate raise awareness.
Work with and influence key stakeholders on the benefits of sustainability and social value to commercial success, creating opportunities to collaborate and engage with clients.
Assist with the development of an ongoing, engaging communications strategy for sustainability and social value that hooks our people.
Support the operational team to identify and solve sustainability and social value issues and in doing so improving upon service delivery
As Energy and Sustainability Manager you will:

You will have experience in a similar role, it would be good if this was within a fresh produce, agricultural or food business, although isn't a must-have. However, you will have a proven track record of delivering cost savings for the business. You will build good working relationships internal and external.
Target salary is GBP30,000 pa - GBP40,000 pa, with standard benefits, 20 days holidays plus the bank holidays, company sick pay and life insurance after 1 year of service. It's a 40 hour week, core hours in the office are 9am-4pm with flexibility around the start and finish times
