Job title: Domestic Services Deputy Manager (Cleaning)
Location: Cheltenham
Essential requirement for this job: Cleaning and supervisory experience.
Working hours: 38.75 hours per week, daytime working hours.
Pay rate: GBP22,000 - GBP24,000 per annum

A little more about this position
Your overall objective will be to support the Domestic Services Manager with staffing, planning and in ensuring standards are high. You'll also be responsible for making sure the department is fully compliant with COSHH regulations. This is managerial role so you will not be expected to do any hands-on cleaning.
Your duties will include amongst other things:
Managing and motivating the Domestic Team
Inducting new starters, providing training
Handling any issues promptly, seeking advice from the Domestic Manager where necessary
Managing any unplanned staff absences, ensuring there is adequate cover in place
Assisting the Domestic Manager with staff annual appraisals and probationary reviews
Deputising for the Domestics Manager on Fridays and periods of annual leave
Raising stock orders and ensuring that stock levels of cleaning products are maintained across the establishment
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience for the Domestic Services Deputy Manager
At least two years' experience in a similar role
Capable of using Microsoft Outlook for emails and Microsoft Word
Confident using email as a method of written communication with staff and colleagues
Highly organised
Ability to motivate others
Qualifications and Training (desirable, not essential)
Knowledge of COSHH
Relevant Health and Safety qualification
