If you lead by example, are a confident influencer with the ability to drive safety culture an exciting role has arisen due to business growth. Our client, an established award-winning contractor, have an opening for a safety professional to cover a host of exciting construction projects across the Midlands and the North with projects along the M5/M6 corridor. East Midlands location is the ideal location.
Essentially you will have multi-site Health and Safety experience working across construction build projects, industrial and or retail, fit-out refurbishments or interiors projects and experience of having worked for a Principal Contractor. Ideally experience of working on projects GBP10m to GBP100m.
Ideally you will have a minimum 3-5 years' experience and your CV must highlight your knowledge across the latest Health and Safety Legislation. Working closely with the SHEQ senior management and project teams you will be a point of contact, responsible for accident investigation, risk assessments, method statements, SHEQ inspections and audits, contractor working practices.
This role requires an effective communicator with strong engaging skills and the ability to see the bigger picture. You will coach and mentor line managers and influence the HSE agenda and activities. Woking as part of the H&S team, this role is autonomous and ideally you will be a self-starter, who remains focused on multiple tasks and be adept at time management
The successful candidate will have have
* Strong communication skills; verbal written and IT
* Ability to lead by example with a strong coaching and engagement style
* In-depth working knowledge of current safety & environmental legislation
* Experience of conducting H&S audits and reviewing and implementing changes
* Ability to identify Root Causes and provide recommendations for improvement
Essentially you will have :
* Minimum Nebosh General and or Nebosh Construction or NCRQ equiv.
* Construction site health and safety experience
* Gradiosh with evidence of working towards CMIOSH
* CSCS Card
* First Aid qualifications
