Personal Injury Solicitor in Leeds
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Solicitor to join the Personal Injury department in our clients Leeds office. The department deal with the whole spectrum of personal injury claims(RTA, EP and PL). They act for clients locally and nationally representing the injured claimant in often high value cases.
The role will suit a skilled and motivated Solicitor with experience of Litigation matters.
The successful candidate will be involved in assisting the team in dealing with a wide range of Personal Injury litigation cases and where experience of litigating fast track and multi-track cases
Duties:
* Working in the client's best interest to the highest professional standards.
* Maintenance of the electronic filing system to ensure files are kept in a neat and orderly state.
* Keeping clients up to date with the current status of their case including regular costs updates.
* Dealing with queries from clients effectively and efficiently
* Attending court on behalf of clients and instructing counsel.
* Supervising the support team maintaining high standards of work.
* Delegating work to paralegals and legal executives in training and reviewing the work on completion.
* Meeting financial targets.
* Ensuring continued compliance with the SRA's.
* Attending and getting involved with business development events organised by the department.
* Identifying and following up new business opportunities.
Skills Required:
* 3 years PQE
* Litigation experience within Personal Injury
* Track record of managing workload
* Strong IT skills
* Good communication skills
* Excellent interpersonal and team skills
* Initiative and self-motivation
* Time and work management skills
* Understanding and adopting the Firm's values and practices
