Job location: Derby, East Midlands
Hourly pay rate: GBP14.05 Mornings - GBP15.09 After (Paye)
GBP17.05 Mornings - GBP18.31 Afters (Umb)
(Rising by 15% after a further 9 months)
Shifts: Mornings and Afternoons (6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm)
Hours per week: 37 hours
Duration: Ongoing
Start date: ASAP

Client Summary:
Our client is a global leader in Rolling Stock vehicle manufacturing, service and maintenance.
Position Summary
This role is based around working in a busy rolling stock manufacturing facility. The role will mainly require the moving of materials to different stages on the production line. You will be responsible for ensuring engineers, mechanics and technicians have everything they need to get their job done, this means it is a time critical role. Generally, you will be using tow trucks and fork lift trucks to move the materials around the site, regularly loading and unloading vehicles will require some heavy lifting.
In some instances, you will be asked to shunt or assist with shunting around site and moving bogies (wheelsets) around as well. You will be responsible for upholding strict health and safety standards at all times especially whilst the movement of vehicles is under way.
Your roles and responsibilities may also include being a banksman, directing the manoeuvre of vehicles or "spotting" ensuring all routes are clear of obstruction and people.
Due to the safety critical nature of this role, candidates must come from a background where they have had exposure to dealing with large vehicles/machinery. Ideal candidates would come from a HGV/FLT/PSV or tracked vehicle driving background however other experience and skill sets maybe considered.
Qualifications/Skills:
No formal qualification necessary
HGV licence preferred
FLT license preferred
PSV license preferred
Previous experience driving/operating heavy machinery or vehicles
