Bristol Animal Rescue Centre is looking for a Treasurer to join our passionate and dedicated board of Trustees.
We have been caring for the city's pets and wildlife since 1887, helping, healing and homing over 7,000 vulnerable animals each year. We are proud to hold such a long heritage in Bristol, as the oldest and largest animal charity in the city. We are an independent charity, and although we are proud to be affiliated with the RSPCA, we receive no automatic funding from them. We rely entirely on local support within the community to fund our vital work.
Board of Trustees: Treasurer
Background: Finance, Strategy and Governance, Fundraising, Legal, Risk.
Remuneration: The role of Treasurer is not accompanied by any financial remunerational though expenses for travel may be claimed.
Location: Bristol
Time commitment: 6 Board meetings per year plus 4 Finance Committees and supporting discussions
Tenure: Treasurer should expect to serve no more than 2 terms of 3 years.
We are looking to strengthen our Board of Trustees with up to three new Trustee appointments.
We are seeking volunteers from a diverse range of backgrounds to join Bristol Animal Rescue Centre (Bristol A.R.C.) as a Trustee to help make a difference to Bristol's most vulnerable animals. One of those vacancies is specifically the Treasurer position.
As a Trustee, you will have the chance to influence our strategy and directly support our teams of experts in the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of animals that come into our care.
You will serve on the governing body of the charity and be instrumental, alongside your fellow Trustees in providing the governance that supports the CEO and senior management team in the successful running of the Branch.
