Summary: To provide support to the HSSEQ Manager by the completion of a programme of project-based site inspections to identify both good practice and areas of improvement by WHP telecoms and associated contractor / sub-contractor field-based teams operating across the UK. The role will be split 75% field and 25% office based with inspections dictated by the programme of work and the locations of where the operatives are working at that time.

Duties include:
• Overall ownership of the HSEQ Site Inspection Programme specifically:
Production and upkeep of a Monthly Planned HSEQ Site Inspection Programme to meet Client contractual agreements
Communication with WHP Project teams to understand programmes of work
Production of a Yearly Planned vs Actual HSEQ Site Inspection Programme
Completion of HSEQ Site Inspections ensuring the effective operation of Health, Safety,
Environmental and Quality in line with current Company / Legislative practices is being adhered to by all WHP and contractor/sub-contractors field-based teams
Provision of immediate feedback to field-based teams following site inspection
Timely production of high-quality site inspection reports ensuring findings are entered into the company data base
Production of ongoing trend analysis and suggestions for improvement
Production of a formal monthly report to the HSSEQ Manager by the 2nd of each month
Escalation of identified major / minor non-conformances immediately to HSSEQ Advisors
Meet Site Inspection Targets as set by the HSSEQ Manager
Production of tool box talks to promote good practice and issue as instructed

Ownership of the HSEQ Site Inspection Proforma specifically:
Responsible for ensuring any agreed amendments are entered onto the proforma in a timely manner
That copies of the current HSEQ Site Inspection Proforma are available at point of use.

Quality
Have a working knowledge of telco installation techniques such that on-site assessments can be completed and advise provided to field teams as necessary.

Site Access
Responsible for own booking of site access and conforming to client access requirements

Management
Individual will be responsible for their own time management
Keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and any developments that affect the employers Telco industry.
Keep up to date with ongoing quality issues within WHP project teams.
Escalations to HSSEQ Manager as necessary
Assistance to members of the HSSEQ team as necessary
Any other related duties that the company may reasonably determine from time to time

Skills

(Essential)
• Previous experience within a similar role
• NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
• Knowledge of the Telco operations /maintenance processes and procedures
• High degree of computer literacy
• Excellent communication skills
• High level of attention to detail

• Team Player
• Full driving license

(Desirable)
• NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety
