Exciting opportunity for a Service controller to join a market leading special purpose vehicles company. As Service Controller you will provide daily support within the service department team by being an interface with the customer, handling service requests and providing timely assistance to engineers ensuring that all parts and technical assistance is available when required. To work as a team with the day to day running of the service office to ensure maximum efficiency, using the SAP system as the prime tool along with other systems.
Service Controller responsibilities:
Effectively deal with all customer service enquiries, advising and actioning accordingly, taking ownership of the problem from start to finish and be the point of contact for customers.
Answer phones & welcome customers to Service Centre
Taking / logging incoming work from customers
Create job cards / notifications via SAP and identify / order parts for engineers.
Plan engineer's daily workload, effectively and efficiently
Prepare and provide estimates to customer
Carry out admin tasks
Plan and efficiently manage machines in the region on contract maintenance, including maintenance of the contract planner
Follow up service visits with a phone call to ensure satisfaction
Process engineer job sheets and timesheets for correct and accurate completion and record non-compliance or poor completion.
Assist in the organisation of onsite meetings to ensure senior management and customers are received, handled and catered for in the way they expect
Willingly carry out any other duties deemed appropriate by the company.
Service Controller Experience/Qualifications:
Good telephone manner
Good communicator at all levels
Ability to prioritise work loads
Good understanding of computers and systems,
Proven track record in a fast moving, customer facing role, either within motor industry or other customer service environment
Previous experience with SAP system would be desirable
Parts department stock control within motor industry environment is desirable
Basic computer packages, excel, word, PowerPoint
