Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Salary: GBP55-GBP85 daily
Location: Morpeth
Start Date: Immediate
GSL Education are currently working with fantastic SEN schools in Morpeth who are currently looking for Teaching Assistants to start ASAP.
The schools work with students who have Social, Emotional and Mental health issues. The role will involve supporting students in their learning on both a 1:1 basis and small groups. The ability to work well with Teachers and being able to communicate effectively is key to the role. The team of support assistants currently in school are supportive, motivated, and passionate about their students.
Our ideal candidates will ???
Have excellent behaviour management skills
Be confident establishing and developing strong relationships with pupils, parents, colleagues, and carers
Be able to follow and assist with learning targets from the Class team in line with Education Health Care Plans
Enjoy working 1:1 with children who have significant barriers including Autism, ADHD, behavioural challenges & low learning levels
Have experience working within primary schools at key stage 1 and 2 (Or - If you have experience in a different setting supporting children or young adults, we would still love to hear from you - such as Care, Sports environments, Creative arts, relevant voluntary positions)
Have an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to go through the process with us)
Have a good level of academic ability
Have a kind, calm, and enthusiastic outlook with a great work ethic.
Availability for at least six months
