It’s an exciting time to be joining us as we’re expanding our Bookkeeping Team and are on the lookout for an ambitious Senior Finance Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis working 35 hours per week. However, we are also open to considering part-time applications, working a minimum of 25 hours per week.

The Role
As a Senior Finance Assistant, you will support our Finance Team with a broad range of activities, ensuring the department runs smoothly and our clients receive a friendly and helpful service.
This varied role will see you work as part of a collaborative team, taking ownership of yours and others’ workloads, completing tasks accurately and in a timely manner, with customer satisfaction as a top priority.
You will help clients with their bookkeeping queries, make supplier payments and produce management accounts. You will also manage the sales and purchase ledgers, the supplier ledger and enter purchase invoices.
Additionally, in this role you will:
- Calculate and prepare month end management account adjustments and journals
- Complete bank reconciliations and control accounts
- Undertake VAT return preparation work
- Provide cloud software training
About You
To join us as a Senior Finance Assistant, you will need:
- An AAT qualification or be training towards one, possess equivalent knowledge or have experience of bookkeeping processes
- Good interpersonal skills with a professional nature
- Excellent attention to detail
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
Experience of using Xero, Quickbooks online or Sage 50 would be beneficial to your application, as would knowledge of purchase invoice automation software.
