Mechanics Teacher- Full Time - Sutton in Ashfield
An alternative provision in Sutton in Ashfield are seeking a full-time Mechanics Teacher starting ASAP
The successful candidate will be an innovative, reflective practitioner who can demonstrate the willingness to adapt and learn. We are looking for an individual with high expectations and standards who can offer excellent behavioural management skills. An additional strength would be a creative, engaging approach to curriculum design and planning for pupils with SEND.
The school has recently opened a Mechanics workshop which gives its students real world experience and offers a new approach to teaching the students.
Duties will include:
* Working closely with families and the wider community to ensure the provision of effective, holistic support
* Working with young people whose behaviour and disaffection has significant impact upon their attainment
* Improving pupil progress and achievement by helping to minimise barriers to learning and maximise pupil participation
* Devising, implementing, and evaluating specialist programmes of work to encourage and promote a pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development
* Planning and facilitating structured activities, to support pupils to make appropriate use of unstructured times
* Working effectively and collaboratively with teachers, support staff and external agencies as required to ensure effective support provision for all pupils
We are ideally seeking a Mechanics Teacher with previous experience providing support for young people with additional needs but someone experienced and qualified in Mechanical engineering is Essential, You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with key professionals at all levels. Experience with SEND is ideal but an understanding and calming presence that understands the Children and respects them.
