Meningitis Now are currently recruiting for an Information and Research Officer. The post holder will be part of the Information and Support Team and will co-ordinate the charity's research portfolio. This will include liaising with research teams, monitoring progress reports, budgets and invoices. It will also involve supporting the development and management of disease-based information materials including printed and web-based information.
* Role: Information and Research Officer
* Hours: 35 hours per week
* Salary: GBP23,500 - GBP24,500 per annum
* Location: Stroud, Gloucestershire (with Hybrid working avaliable)
As part of the support team, the post holder will co-ordinate the organisation's First Response programme, reaching out to individuals and families impacted by meningitis offering support and information. This will include providing cover for our nurse-led helpline.
You will need to demonstrate an understanding of the research process and have experience of working with families or individuals requiring support. This role requires someone who is self-motivated and an excellent communicator. In return we offer you the opportunity to work as part of a dynamic and supportive team.

* Experience of working in a health or science background
* Experience of teaching or training others

* Strong self motivator and ability to support/motivate others
* Excellent organisational skills and ability to work to multiple deadlines
* Planning and prioritising workload
* Confident in the use of social media platforms

* Occasional out of hours working, travel an attendance at events
* Other requirements as determined by the organisation
