Titan are currently working with a Freight Forwarder based at London Heathrow who are looking to recruit an Customs Brokerage Co-ordinator.
This role requires relevant experience of working within a busy Freight Forwarding environment and a good understanding of the necessary customs processes and documentation.
Role responsibilities -
* Obtaining, checking and preparing documentation to meet customs requirments and compliance with overseas countries' regulations and fiscal regimes.
* Arranging insurance and assisting the client in the event of a claim.
* Arranging payment of freight and other charges, or collection of payment on behalf of the client.
* Advising customers on use of the Company's tracking and management reporting systems.
* Working closely with customers, colleagues and third parties to ensure smooth operations to deadlines.
* Maintaining current knowledge of relevant legislation, political situations and other factors that could affect the movement of freight.
* Invoice in accordance with the customers quotation or Company rates provided
* Must follow strict timelines and KPI targets
The ideal candidate :
* Minimum 2-3 year's import customs entry experience:
* Familiar with Destin8 / CNS systems
* Experience in using ASM Sequoia
* Knowledge of incoterms
* Knowledge of customs legislation.
* Excellent communication and organisation skills.
* Good computer skills (Excel, Word, etc)
*Prior experience in raising export customs declarations is preferred but not essential*
