Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer (Electrical Bias)
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Multi-skilled Shift Maintenance Technician (electrical bias) to work on one of our Plant maintenance contracts in Stowmarket. This is a fast moving production environment.
The role:
You must be electrically qualified, with good mechanical and electrical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
There are 8 hour and 12 hour shift rota available.
A methodical fault finding mentality is essential and PLC experience would be an advantage.
This is a reactive role, ensuring, to the best of your abilities, that the manufacturing equipment operates as required by the Site Production team.
Types of plant and equipment on-site include:
* Sequenced Filling lines
* Conveyors
* Labellers
* Printers
* Palletisers
* Stretch wrappers
* High speed mixers
Your role will be a significant factor in helping to improve the reliability of the sites assets.
You will be responsible for the reactive maintenance on night shifts, therefore you should be able to work with a high level of autonomy. You will be supported by a maintenance team during the day.
Skills / Experience:
You should have a strong electrical engineering background with experience of maintaining:
* Pump bearings / seals / couplings / alignments
* Motor/gearbox drives
* Chain/belt drives
* Pneumatics and Hydraulics
* PLC's
* Level and weight measurement
Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an electrical qualification (e.g. City & Guilds or Btec) together with C&G 17th / 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. Mechanical qualifications would be an advantage.
