Axon Moore are pleased to partner with a growing company based in Lancashire as they look to recruit a System Accountant for an exciting project. This is a great opportunity for a candidate who is looking to get into systems and be involved in a great project with rapid career development.
Key responsibilities
Understand broader systems architecture with links to SAP (includes interfaces, batch processes and data flows) and advise finance users on related matters
Review and maintain financial systems policies, procedures and process mapping
Design, implement and maintain effective financial/system controls (preventative and detective) and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and quality assurance over financial data
Maintenance of business continuity and disaster recovery procedures from a finance systems perspective
Support system integration's of new company acquisitions and mergers
Drive the integration and implementation of new systems including ERP, planning and BI systems
Manage system upgrades and delivery schedules with the IT department
Troubleshoot and resolve finance related system issues
Evaluate system performance and implement improvements
Configure specific range of SAP system settings to meet business needs (e.g. new reports, new cost centres, etc)
Train and support finance team members in the use of financial systems and procedures
Leverage business intelligence and data transformation software to enhance and streamline processes
Collaborate with IT and finance staff to meet business requirements
This role will suit a newly or nearly qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA) that is looking to move into system role and get great exposure to a high profile implementation. A strong financial analysis, knowledge of finance processes and strategic thinker as essential for this role. Experience working in ERP system implementation would be advantageous but not essential.
