A leading Fresh Food company are on the hunt for a experienced Warehouse Manager to join their team!
As a warehouse manager you will be the main point of contact as the essential part of the supply chain process. This means that you will have to be experienced in warehousing, managing warehouse workers, processes, and a warehouse management system. You will be in charge of maintaining safety standards to ensure that products are dispatched and delivered safely and efficiently.
You will work closely with the other warehouse employees and lead them to meet and exceed productivity targets. You will be your team's main point of contact and be responsible for the health and safety of your team. You will have to have previous, extensive experience working within a warehouse and an absolute understanding of the basic operations of a warehouse. You will also need to have been technically trained in fundamental warehouse operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage & coordinate the general housekeeping of the Warehouse on a daily basis
Carry out spot checks of picks to ensure the operatives are performing their duties accurately and efficiently
Manage operational KPI reports & information
Manage absence and time keeping within the department in line with company policy & best practice to enhance the efficiency of the shift
Possess and deploy a coaching mindset
Managing warehouse staff
Conduct disciplinaries as necessary in line with company disciplinary policy and best practice
Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee performance
Communicate effectively with team, key stakeholders, and peers
Manage and drive employee retention & attendance initiatives on the shift
Ensure health, safety and hygiene rules and regulations are adhered to
Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices to optimise performance
Motivate, lead, and inspire supervisors and general operatives
Manage the deployment of staff into all areas of the department to ensure the successful management of workload flux
Quality Control Responsibilities :
Ensure adequate process in place to manage customer complaints and non-conformances.
Maintain Supplier traceability.
Oversee all product specifications required, setting standards and monitoring.
carry out accurate product assessments at Goods In and during manual grading, weighing, packing and palletisation.
QC Positive release (Quality & Labelling).
Have a working knowledge of food hygiene standards and procedures.

Essential Experience
* A good understanding of multi temperature warehouse procedures and compliance
* Management Experience, ideally in a FMCG warehouse environment
* QA & Quality Control experience / knowledge
* Ability to effectively plan labour and resource to deliver operational requirements
* Customer Service Focus
* Fresh produce knowledge
