SENIOR MULTI-SKILLED ENGINEER

As a Senior Multi-skilled Engineer, you will join the Facilities and Services department, to supervise the maintenance of our property portfolio based in Manchester. With a HVAC or Electrical background, you will be experienced in conducting and scheduling various building audits via a CAFM system, keeping accurate records, overseeing and coordinating external contractors on site.

You will be required to carry out pre-planned and reactive maintenance to ensure that our portfolio is maintained to the highest standard.

You will be working as part of a team to maintain our property portfolio in Manchester ensuring the delivery of an effective and efficient Facilities Service within multi-occupancy buildings.

You will have a flexible approach to work and may be required to work days and evenings to provide on call cover on a rota basis. You will need to be on site within 45 minutes in response to any call outs, therefore must be able to travel into Manchester city centre within that timescale.

The position offered is on a full time basis working 5 days out of 7 including some weekends at our offices in Manchester City Centre.

Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Ability to perform general maintenance tasks.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience of CAFM systems would be advantageous.
  • Ability to perform the Competent Person function.
  • Ability to work to high standards, have a methodical manner and be able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and stay calm in emergencies.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Competence with producing Health and Safety documentation.
  • Competence in delivering site inductions to contractors or visitors.

Main Responsibilities

  • Overseeing a full range of general maintenance duties, ensuring high standards of workmanship.
  • Performing general maintenance tasks including painting and decorating, joinery, minor plumbing and electrical works.
  • Carrying out a full range of general maintenance duties to a high standard.
  • Performing reactive and pre-planned maintenance.
  • Ensuring that team goals and objectives are met.
