About us
UMS Flowell provide high quality products and services to oilfield customers worldwide. Our primary area of expertise is in downhole completion equipment for ESP (Electrical Submersible Pumps) and natural flow oil wells. As part of our forward growth plan and Business Development we are looking to recruit a Goods in / out inspector to join our growing team at our machine shop & assembly facility in Glasgow.
With a base knowledge of all aspects associated within quality control from the use of manual measuring equipment and possessing the abillty to enter data into Database systems
Role & Responsibilities
* Final Inspection & release of parts and associated documentation ahead of customer shipment.
* Proactively feedback Quality issues to production to embed learning, improve standards and reduce rework
* Oversee and witness supplier Quality - Sample checks on quality (product and documentation)
* Build good working relationship within the business and supply chain.
* Help to maintain all controlled document files, updating systems & test records in a timely and accurate manner
* Any other relevant duties as required by the business
The Person
* Experienced QC Inspector within a Machining/Engineering/Manufacturing environment would be of great benefit.
* Ability to work well within our team showing good communication skills, .
* Flexible team member who shows willing to assist in other tasks where required within the organisation.
* Able to work shifts and to work overtime including weekends where required.
* Ability to work independently with limited supervision
* Demonstrate basic understanding of HSE and be a role model in the work place
* Experienced in the use of general machine shop measuring equipment
* Ability to check and verify Quality documentation and supplier certification packages
Successful Candidate Rewards
* Competitive base rate of pay (Based on experience and skill levels)
* 33 Days (Accrued) Annual Holiday Leave / 37 Hour Working Week
