Job description
Malary Ltd are a leading Waste Management and Recycling Company, we have an immediate vacancy for a Vehicle HGV Mechanic. We are a small family run company specialising in the waste industry.
Class 1 or 2 experience is a requirement along with a Light and Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Competence Diploma. The role is contracted at 45 hours a week on day shift. Uniform is provided as well as on site parking.

Primary Responsibilities
* Manage the transport workshop activities
* Liaise with all managers to maintain vehicles and related equipment to meet required standards
* Work with the Transport Manager to plan the workshop workload and communicate the plan to the Drivers and Operations
* Carry out all in-house vehicle maintenance activities, in readiness for MOT's and servicing
* Liaise with 3rd parties regarding any external maintenance requirements
* Ensure compliance with respect to health & safety, defects and near misses
* Ensure workshop housekeeping standards are kept maintained
* Control relevant stocks and communicate stock movements, as required
* Support the maintenance team with activities as business priorities determine
* Other ad hoc duties around the site
Qualifications & Training
* C or C+E license preferred but not essential
* Light and Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Competence Diploma (or equivalent qualification)
Experience
* Vehicle maintenance
* HGV driving experience (preferable)
Qualities and Behaviours
* Good verbal communication skills
* Strong safety conscience
* Delivery focused
* Able to demonstrate customer/ client focus
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: GBP14.50 per hour
