Quality Supervisor (Supplier)
Location: Telford
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: Circa GBP34,000 per annum
Hours: Monday - Friday (DAYS with an early finish on a Friday)
This is an exciting opportunity, to join a well-established and market leading global manufacturing business. They are looking to recruit for an experienced Quality Engineer, who has previous supervisory experience. You will and overseeing a small team of inspectors, ensuring supplier component quality standards are maintenance so as to achieve organisational quality goals.
Responsibilities and duties will include, but not limited to:
* Creates and execute supplier quality plans
* Monitor, report and put actions in place in relation to supplier quality
* Analyse supplier performance data and execute supplier development strategies
* Oversee the day-to-day activities within the inspection department ensuring containment and rework functions are working effectively
* Introduce improvement activities to ensure component quality is achieved
* Manage the supplier corrective action process and coordinate both internal and external supplier interactions and ensuring corrective actions are put in place and completed
* Carry out supplier audits within the recommended schedule
Skills and Experience
* Previous experience within Supplier Quality Assurance is ESSENTIAL
* Excellent knowledge of ISO 9001 with experience in conducting supplier and internal audits
* Familiarity with a variety of Quality assurance principles
* Experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity will be required
* Willingness to travel to suppliers to conduct meetings and audits
