Learning Support Assistant needed ASAP in Stoke!
Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant who can commit to starting ASAP and can do full time work?
I am currently recruiting for a behavioural school in Stoke that are looking to appoint a new Learning Support Assistant with challenging behaviour, Autism, ADHD, social emotional mental health experience to join their team. The positions are on a full time, long-term basis with a view to go permanent for the right person. They are seeking people who have experience of working with SEND children in a behavioural school. This position would be good for someone with a sporty background or previous youth worker experience.
As a Learning Support Assistant you will be working alongside the class teacher and other TA's supporting pupils with everyday school life, however, there will be times that you will need to be supporting children on a one to one and small groups bases independently. You will be a source of support for pupils and will ensure they are motivated, happy, and engaged.
The school caters for children with a wide range of needs including Autism, learning difficulties ADHD and social emotional mental health. The school caters for secondary aged children.
The successful candidate will bring at least 1 years of experience to the role and a desire to work with children with SEND. You will be empathetic and determined to make a difference.
I am happy to be working with this school as they really care about their students and staff. It is a very large school and they have so many facilities for their pupils. There are many SEN TAs employed in the school and everyone has a really good work ethic.
