Who are we looking for?

The Learning Technologist is a newly created role providing a fabulous opportunity to join a thriving further education organisation with exciting growth and quality ambitions.

Based within our Quality Department, the Learning Technologist will be responsible for supporting staff, learners, and partners to develop their digital skills, training them to make the best use of technology-based productivity tools to implement the next stage of the college's digital skills strategy.

Being responsible for the development of innovative digital content for Canvas, the college's virtual learning environment, pedagogical use of Planet e-Stream, digital transformation projects, evaluation of new teaching software and applications and role modelling professional digital standards. Working closely with learner facing staff to improve their planning, management and delivery of online teaching and providing training and administrative support for all staff and learners in the use of MS Teams and other Microsoft Office 365 products.

The successful candidate will need the knowledge and skills to create technology and web-based learning materials and activities to champion the development of blended and distance learning and be the first point of contact for end users requiring support and advice in the use of digital technologies for teaching, learning and assessment.
