CAREERS CO-ORDINATOR

Hours: 2 days a week (16 hours). Term time only.

Contract: Permanent.

Salary: Scale 7, point 21 -25. £26,511 - £29,577 pro rata. Actual pay £9,918 – £11,064 pa.

Responsible to: Headteacher/CEO of the Forest of Dean Trust.

Based at: Dene Magna School and Sixth Form.

We are looking for a strong candidate to co-ordinate, support and guide our students in their future choices for this exciting opportunity with us. We are advertising for this post because our very experienced and much loved Careers Advisor is retiring after many years at Dene Magna.

This role is vital to us as we work with our students of all ages to get them to realise their potential and dream big in their aspirations for their future careers. We have some unique features for our careers offer, including a flexible work experience for Y10 students and you will get to work alongside our fantastic students fromY7—13. This role is varied, and we are looking for an adaptable, innovative team player, who can shine a light on careers for our school.

The pandemic has impacted on all of our lives and we are determined to not this adversely affect the possibilities that can open up for our students.

The successful applicant will join Dene Magna’s existing team of highly professional and committed staff.
