As Senior Finance Business Partner you will be the key link between the specialist areas of our business and finance team building trusting and meaningful relationships whilst facilitating honest and challenging conversations to gain deep understanding of what drives the delivery of the business objectives, including of acquisitions, disposals and other project initiatives.

Day to day activities will include:

• Partner with business areas to successfully deliver acquisitions and disposals which aligned with the strategy of EDF Renewables. This includes the whole acquisition or disposal life-cycle.
• Support the implementation of finance improvement initiatives which impacts projects in the development or construction stages
• Constructively challenge the business and provide innovative solutions to enable financial and operational improvements being made.
• Coach and mentor other members of the Finance Business Partner team to assist the Finance Business Partner Manager with leading the team.
• Manage the relationship between the Finance department and business areas to ensure that the needs of both areas are mutually understood and processes are delivered efficiently.
• Deliver documentation on the team's key processes to ensure compliance (e.g. integrity and assurance on project costs).

The Person

As an experienced and qualified (ACA/ CIMA/ ACCA) Business Partner you'll be able to demonstrate an in depth knowledge business partnering and with the ability to convey complex financial information to finance and non-finance audiences, adapting the message accordingly.

Able to work as part of a team across different business functions and with colleagues at different levels of seniority, you'll ask the right questions to get to route of issues using robust but diplomatic challenges based on evidence and analysis to innovate and drive improvements for our M&A projects. Whilst we don't need you to have M&A experience, a keen interest in learning M&A would be great.
