We are looking for a Lead Developer to join a rapidly expanding national firm.

This new position within our clients Multichannel division will lead the definition, and the delivery of the UX, UI and development of the Multichannel platform and will be a key ambassador of customer experience throughout the business, ensuring that the customer is at the heart of everything they do.

They will work closely with the trading, content and innovation teams to create superb experiences that excite their customers. To achieve this, they will lead a team of UX developers and will be responsible for the professional development of these individuals and the growth of this crucial function. They will have excellent knowledge and experience of User Experience principles and will be well versed with design-based online conversion optimisation and user experience techniques, using this knowledge to create digital experiences that maximise customer satisfaction. They will be fully versed in the development lifecycle, working to the agile methodology, selecting technologies, building common libraries and establishing scalable team workflows.

Knowledge and Skills:

* An inspirational and capable individual, experienced and a hands-on senior web designer/developer who understands the challenges in running a highly capable web production team.

* User experience / customer journey evangelist who understands how to engineer web experiences that give users what they want.

* Strong JavaScript/ES6, HTML5 and CSS3 (Sass/Less) skills.

* Passionate about the latest best practice design & build approaches.

* Strong understanding of browser and network performance.

* Strong understanding of scalable and maintainable architecture.

* Experience building accessible and cross browser compatible websites.

* Have a good understanding of search engine optimisation techniques and semantic HTML5 to produce components that are accessible for all customers and search engines.

* Business acumen and confident across teams and levels to ensure all development is best in class resulting in the very best experiences for our customers.

Full time working hours.

Monday to Friday 08:45 - 5.30pm.
