We require 2 Stock condition Surveyors for an initial period of 3 months.

Undertake surveys of domestic properties, communal areas and other assets to determine the condition of the stock, age of components in order to accurately inform our clients budget forecasting.

To identify any health and safety concerns or outstanding repairs whilst carrying out the surveys and action them accordingly.

Key Skills and Attributes

Numerate with good communication skills and ability to provide high quality reports.

A good working knowledge of MS office and other specialist software packages as required by the association is essential

To demonstrate excellent customer care skills and show an understanding of and commitment to equality and diversity, in all aspects of the role.

Self-motivated, proactive and able to work within your own initiative with little supervision

Ability to negotiate and influence people

Ability to deal with difficult customers

Knowledge and Experience

In depth knowledge and understanding of building construction, maintenance and social housing legislation

Understanding of social housing environment and requirements of bpha customers

Experience of dealing with damage and insurance claims

Knowledge of schedule of rates and experience in selecting most appropriate for works required

Knowledge of health and safety legislation

Qualifications or training required (or appropriate demonstrable experience)

ONC/HNC/NVQ qualification or similar professional qualification e.g. City and Guilds or equivalent relevant experience.

Full clean driving licence
