Smile Education are currently working in Partnership with a Walsall Primary School to assist them in their recruitment of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support 2 children, on a 1:1 basis. The two-form entry Primary based in the WS1 areas of central Walsall are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEN Needs.
We are currently looking for a Level 3 qualified, or equivalent, Teaching Assistant to support 2 primary aged children throughout their learning day, on a 1:1 basis. The headteacher is keen to work with a confident individual who has previous experience of supporting children with SEN needs.
This role will see the successful candidates support pupils with Speech and Language delay and Global Delay, therefore previous experience of supporting pupils with these needs is highly desirable. As the ideal candidate, you will be able to build good rapport with the pupils you are working with and be enthusiastic about improving their educational journeys and encouraging their academic progression.
This is a full-time Teaching Assistant position which comes with an immediate start date, with the successful candidate starting within the school as soon as possible. This ongoing role is expected to end at the end of the academic year, in July 2022.
If successful in your application, you will split your time to support 2 children with SEN needs on a 1:1 basis. Previous experience of supporting children 1:1 is desired, but not essential. The role will see you work closely with the class teacher to tailor lessons and activities to suit the individual needs of the children you are supporting, as well as other member of staff including the schools SENCO.

Have previous experience of supporting children on a 1:1 basis or within small groups
Have a previous experience of supporting children with SEN needs
Can build good rapport with the children they are supporting
Passionate about improving the educational journeys and experiences of the children they work with
Can work independently as well as part of a larger team of educators
Enjoy motivating children about their learning
Have a positive outlook
Love working as part of a forward-thinking team
