Software Support Analyst

Salary - GBP30,000 (Rising pay scale)

Shift-based 6am-2.30pm/8.30am-5pm. Monday- Friday, with on-call out of hours and weekends on a rotating basis. (On- call fees are paid)

We have an exciting opportunity to join Europe's leading distributor and manufacturer of small domestic appliances and housewares products.

Due to the massive growth and success over the year we have are looking to expand out teams by offering multiple role to our support team and are looking for full-time Software Support Analysts to play an integral part of the support team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Handling calls for support and assistance from the company's Dynamics Nav user base as well as users of other satellite systems.

* Handling requests to ensure logging of support calls and push through to resolution where possible, escalating where not possible.

* Handling queries from representatives of the company's customer base when having issues with the IT resources provided by the company, resolving their problems either through corrective action or provision of suitable information or escalating their issues.

* Taking a hand in the monitoring of the company's automated systems as required to ensure that these are kept running at all times.

* Taking part in rota based on-call support after training and check service operating in the evenings and weekends (includes answering and logging calls, escalating where unable to solve and monitoring automated systems to ensure uninterrupted operation during the out of hour's period).

* Taking part in monitoring of systems functions and performance and resolving known issues affecting this.

* Take on some other IT related duties as required.

Required Abilities, Knowledge & Attributes

* Excellent computer skills. Must be able to handle MS Windows, MS Office and MS Dynamics Nav.

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

* Flexible and yet organised and structured approach to all aspects of work.

* Genuine interest in helping people.

* Suitable level of personal presentation for office based environment at all times.

* Good knowledge of the SVG's Navision systems with thorough understanding of how the "split-system" handles passing of data back and forth.

* Good knowledge and understanding of satellite systems such as the iPad and laptop based databases used by the sales reps, web-portals used by administrators etc
