Our client is looking for a Tender Manager for a permanent position, located in Aberdeen.

ROLE

The Tender Manager manages allocated tenders in accordance with the tender process, ensuring integral coordination and elaboration of the tender documents in such a way that a correct and complete proposal is made and the chances of project acquisition are optimal

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Build and maintain contacts with the external parties involved, investigate client demand and respond to signals from clients and stakeholders, if necessary, in consultation with the Tendering Manager and/or Business Development Manager. This is in order to get a clear overview of the project and the expectations of the client.

* Support the technical team in delivering the best technical and risk assessed solution.

* Responsible for determination of the cost-price budget, planning and risk analysis, to enable Business Unit management/Tendering Manager to determine the offer price.

* Establishing optimal coordination and communication between the various internal parties (e.g. commercial, technical, finance, legal department) as well as with partners and suppliers in order to deliver a good offer. Fulfilling a coordinating role in partnerships' tenders in order to defend the interests of company.

* Compiling a complete, competitive, accurate and feasible offer with well-organized offer documentation in accordance with the requirements of the application. Responsibility for delivering the tender within the agreed time frame and tender budget and within the agreed processes. Assisting with negotiating, drafting and closing contracts in accordance with commercial and legal procedures and guidelines.

* Support the Tendering Manager and/or Business Unit Management in formulating the strategy[1]to-win. Then executing and implementing the strategy-to-win, so that there is a detailed tender plan for internal stakeholders and the tender team with all the necessary steps to win the tender. Identifying deviations.

* Process obtained data in the applicable databases. Share expriences within the department/BU so that future projects run more efficiently and effectively

REQUIREMENTS

* Educated to degree level, preferably with a Law, Business or Quantity Surveying qualification

* Considerable work experience preferably within the Subsea IRM, Construction or Decommissioning or marine industries

* Sound contractual knowledge and analytical skills

* Experience of tendering or project execution including estimating, qualification of contract and commercial documentation, negotiating, cost forecasting and reporting

* Excellent communication and organisational skills

* Ability to work using own initiative and to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team

* Ability to effectively manage own workload, and work within given timescales (both internal and external), ensuring project requirements are met
