Our client, a market leader in high end Interiors are looking to recruit for a Van Driver to join their experienced team.
Reporting to the Senior Management the job primarily involves driving the delivery van and the delivery and assembly of furniture from their warehouse to customers' homes.
Role & Responsibilities
* Driver: Driving the delivery van from the warehouse to customers homes. Van must be kept clean and tidy at all times and weekly safety checks should be conducted with any issues reported to management immediately.
* Home Delivery: Based on the delivery schedule and delivery documentation provided, loading of the van with the appropriate items, careful handling of goods into customers' homes, assembly of furniture and post-delivery tidy-up. Completion of paperwork with customer and handling payment of final balances due.
* Goods Inward : Receive goods into warehouse, check condition, and sign paperwork appropriately & in the case of a delivery error or product condition issue, raise the issue with management.
* Warehouse Duties: Label goods received with customer details and allocate to appropriate warehouse location. Maintain good housekeeping in warehouse at all times. Goods must be stacked neatly and safely, grouped appropriately with labels clearly visible.
Skills and Experience Required

Essential Clean Drivers Licence - B Class
*
Valid Manual Handling Cert as the role is physical in nature - desirable
*
A strong regard for Health and Safety in all aspects of the role.
*
Practical DIY Skills are an advantage in relation to furniture assembly and installation.
*
Good customer service skills.
*
Attention to detail required in every aspect of the role
