Prodrive Recruitment are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer for an Engineering company based in Pershore.
The purpose of the role is to take responsibility for the companies quality performance, the role, a varied one has an extensive job description and is an existing opportunity.
You will need to have a thorough understanding of BS EN 9001:2015 and ISO (phone number removed):2018 H&S standards and have proven experience in the deliverables and recertifications of these standards.
The role is an excellent opportunity to progress technically and run the quality department. You will become an important part of the senior team, leading and supporting the team members to meet the companies high standards.
You will have a proactive approach to supporting production and manufacturing functions, dealing with quality-related issues, and ensuring effective communication and relationship management.
As the Senior Quality and Safety Engineer, you will fully understand the modern standards and will be expected to improve these by monitoring methods of production and ensuring QMS/H&SMS policies and procedures are met at all times.
The Role:
* To oversee the management of all designated quality projects ensuring standards are maintained.
* Manage the companies management system, through Audits and quality tools
* Attend departmental risk assessment meetings
* prepare PPAP and submit with productions of current and sample parts
* Handling, programming, and operating instruments such as CMM's and Verniers
* Calibration of instruments and gauges and maintaining records
* Inspecting of all subcontracted products
* To manage customer complaints to ensure effective action plans
* Lead and work within improvement teams, ensuring corrective actions are robust and effectively implemented.
* To be responsible for making quality decisions
* To lead training in quality awareness
* To ensure control plans and associated documentation are implemented and maintained
* To continue to improve activity within the company.
* Monitor and analyse data and provide monthly reports of performance.
* Ensuring the company complies with COSHH and REACH requirements
* Report and investigate the accidents and incidents within the company.
What you will need:
* Experience in a high paced engineering and manufacturing is essential
* A Degree or HND is desired for this role, but proven experience is a must
* HSE related professional qualifications desirable
* To be computer literate and able to use Microsoft packages including producing high quality written reports.
* Have a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
* You will have excellent customer service skills on multi-platforms
* Have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to influence and maintain a good rapport with all levels of staff.
