And now we want you to join our lifesaving team. We are looking for an outgoing and enthusiastic CTC (Cell Therapy Centre) Support Officer to join our Cell and Gene Therapy Services team.

Title: CTC Support Officer

Salary: GBP28,000

Contract: Fixed Term, 9 months

Hours: 35 hours per week

Location: Hybrid between home and the Anthony Nolan Cell Therapy Centre, Nottingham

This is a varied, exciting, and challenging position and involves organising shipments of frozen adult peripheral blood and frozen cord blood for transplant for people with blood cancers.

The immediate team you will be a part of ensure that the transplants being provided are suitable for the patient. The wider team at the CTC process multiple products for transplant and cell and gene therapy businesses that are creating novel treatments for specific diseases. You will be liaising with the CTC team regularly when shipments are taking place or material is being delivered. You will also respond to and engage with the donor and transplant services team via e-mail and phone, so confidence in communicating with a wide variety of people is essential.

Over the next few months, we will be refining our supporter enquiry management system and you will play a central role in getting this right.

You will be responsible for maintaining shipment records, coordinating shipment dates with couriers and the team at the CTC, as well as reporting any issues with results from the infectious disease marker testing for all umbilical cord blood units banked. Experience of working with databases and attention to detail are essential, and adaptability to change and enthusiasm to improve will help ensure the coordination of the provision of transplant material is a smooth process.

Main tasks of role:

* Maintain digital files/shipment records

* Process invoices and raise purchase orders

* Be responsible for ensuring that the "CTCRelease" inbox is monitored and respond to requests accordingly.

* Be responsible for booking ad-hoc couriers for sample dispatch for the cord programme

* Update the transplant shipment spreadsheet for tracking of requests and release of cord blood units

* Create and distribute external test lists to the Laboratory Scientists
