Demand Planning Manager
GBP40,000 - GBP50,000 depending on experience + other bens
Our market-leading client is looking to secure the services of a hands-Demand Manager. The Demand Manager is responsible for the generation of the aggregated demand plan for volume, value, and phasing for a selection of customer. Responsible for providing holistic high level forecasting analysis and liaison internally with commercial to ensure a robust process for forecast review is conducted to give the best visibility to the rest of the business for financial and capacity planning.
Key requirements for the Demand Planning Manager role:
* Responsible for a selection of Customer forecasts, managing the reconciliation between operational, tactical, and strategic forecasts working with Commercial and Supply Chain teams to ensure all assumptions are captured and aligned to reflect the most accurate demand for products
* Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies, identify demand forecast risks and develop effective mitigation plans
* Lead and develop a high performing Customer Demand team to deliver customer service excellence
* Responsible for generating and reporting monthly OTIF KPI and driving improvement plans working in collaboration with internal stakeholders and Customers.
* Drive collaborative planning and replenishment activities with key customers
* Through effective collaborative working with customers, and Senior Business Development Managers, and all other relevant stakeholders, provide all necessary insight and information to support excellent product launch execution
* Supply Chain Collaboration - establish close working relationships with Production Planning, Procurement, & Operational teams to meet business needs
* Monitor Inventory levels vs. agreed targets through close collaboration with Commercial & Operations. Formulate clearance plans for any slow moving / obsolete goods
Skills & experience of a Demand Planning Manager role:
* 3yrs+ experience in Demand Planning and Customer Supply chain, ideally in FMCG with significant experience supporting retail partners
* Highly skilled in relationship management
* Experience of managing teams
* Highly numerate and analytical with and an advance knowledge of Excel
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* You must have a strong technical ability and the confidence to influence stakeholders
* Knowledge and experience using ERP/MRP systems
