Azure Platform Administrator - WD
What you will do
Proactive administration & support of JCI's Azure Data Lake Platform including admin, incident management & troubleshooting
Point of contact for Azure PaaS services including Data Factory, ADLS, Databricks, Synapse & DevOps - Capacity/Cost tracking
Support & Maintain - Big Data Cluster - based on HDInsight, Azure Synapse & Hive
Define standards & best practice with Technical Architects & ensure they are implemented/maintained
Support & guide global technical project teams
Liaise with Microsoft Support & SMEs in the escalation & resolution of platform/product issues
How you will do it
Collaborate with stakeholders of all levels to administer, maintain & support Data platforms along with ETL Jobs using Azure Data Factory (ADF)
Manage platforms to ensure maximum uptime & optimal performance
Design & implement solutions in Azure cloud platform & related technologies for various enterprise applications
Administer HDInsight platform
Design HA & DR solution on Azure Provisioning of multiple environments
Manage communication & deliverables from offshore team
Build technical & security architecture in Azure
Connect technology with measurable business value
Demonstrate technical thought leadership
Build solutions to monitor, trace, log & address any/all concerns in cloud-based data platform architecture
What we look for
Degree in Software Engineering/Computer Science or similar
5+ yrs hands-on experience using various methodologies to deliver robust PaaS & IaaS based analytics solutions using Azure Cloud technologies
3+ years hands-on experience of Azure data platform administration
In-depth expertise of Azure cloud-based data platform architecture
Expertise in Big data platform, HIVE & Enterprise data platform
Database technologies i.e. Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, Azure HD Insight
Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Store, HDInsight, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL & Security Management with Ranger policies
Azure DevOps - Repo's, CI/CD with multiple service integrated
HIVE Cluster management - Performance & Operational
ARM Template, PowerShell and/or other scripting languages
Object Oriented Programing skills using Java, Python, & .Net
Excellent stakeholder management, communication & influencing skills
Strong leadership & organization skills
Technical troubleshooting, log analysis & performance optimization
Understanding trends, industry standards & new concepts/technologies in Data & Analytics space
